Do You Work with Financing Companies?
We collaborate with several financing companies to make investing in your backyard oasis simple. During a consultation, we can provide more information about the options available to you.
What States Do You Service?
We are a company that is well-versed in providing renovation services for properties situated in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Our expertise doesn't end there, as we are also skilled in the construction of custom pools for clients located in Maryland and D.C.
How Long Does It Take to Complete Pool Construction?
The duration it takes to finish building a pool depends on the timeliness of permit approvals. Once we obtain your permit and clearance from Miss Utility, it will take roughly 14 to 16 weeks to finalize the pool. However, there may be unforeseen delays, such as weather conditions and holidays. Additionally, inspections may take longer in certain counties, causing further delays.
When you partner with us, we'll provide a realistic timeline for your project and communicate any adjustments. This way, you'll be informed at every step and won't have to deal with any surprises.
Do You Get the Permits & Call Inspections?
Yes, unless otherwise specified in your contract, we will pull the permits for you and call inspections.
Do You Handle Pool Construction In-House?
We construct 95% of the pool in-house. The only phases we use contractors for are the concrete/gunite pour, the electrical and gas work, and the fencing (if required in your county).
What Is Our Pool Building Process Like?
Our process begins with a sales expert visiting you to provide a free estimate for your project. Upon signing the contract, we will collect the deposit amount specified in the agreement and begin the permit process. We will contact Miss Utility to confirm if there are any underground lines that may affect the pool's position. If necessary, we will reposition the pool.
Once approved, we will begin the excavation process, followed by installing rebar, applying gravel, stub plumbing, pouring gunite, and installing electrical, gas (if a heater is included), and plumbing equipment. Coping, tile, and deck installation (if included) follow before we finally plaster the interior. Throughout the process, there will be county inspections, which will vary depending on the location.
How Long Does It Take for the Gunite & Concrete Deck to Cure?
To ensure a proper cure for the gunite, it's essential to water it two to three times daily during hot weather. The same applies when caring for a new concrete deck; watering it frequently will assist in preventing cracks.
It's important to be mindful not to walk on the concrete for at least three days, and avoid anything sharp, such as heels, for a week after that. Additionally, it's best to refrain from placing benches or seats on the concrete until it's fully cured, which usually takes around two to three weeks.
When Can I Start Using My Pool After It Has Been Plastered?
After the plastering phase, it is recommended to wait a minimum of two weeks before using the pool. However, the curing process takes 30 days. During this curing period, it is critical to maintain daily chemical balance and brush the pool to ensure proper maintenance and longevity.
